• In the May 2014 edition of D Magazine, Ms. Brown was named as one of the "Best Lawyers in Dallas" in her practice area ("Trusts and Estates").  The attorneys on the list were selected by a vote of their peers in their respective practice areas.
     
  • On April 17, 2014, Ms. Brown spoke on "Do You Trust Your Spouse? Estate Planning for Estates Under $5 Million" to a Dallas chapter of NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors.
     
  • Ms. Brown is serving as President of the Estate Planning Council of North Texas for the 2013-2014 fiscal year, and has previously served in various officer positions and on the Board of Governors.
     
  • Ms. Brown, along with Don Totusek and Eric Reis, presented a seminar entitled "Portability v. Credit Shelter Trust: Making Decisions with Your $2-10 Million Clients" to the Estate Planning Council of North Texas in Plano, Texas, on January 15, 2014.
     
  • Ms. Brown spoke on  "Planning for Clients with Property/Family in other Countries"  on October 11, 2013, to the Estate Planning Section of the Collin County Bar Association in Plano, Texas.
     
  • Ms. Brown gave her presentation, "How do Community Property Laws REALLY Work in Texas?", four times in 2012, to the Collin County Bar Association Estate Planning Section in Plano, the Financial Planning Association D/FW Financial Planning Symposium, the North Texas NAPFA Study Group in Dallas, and the Metroplex Practice Management Group (CPAs) in Dallas.
